posted Nov 3, 2017, 12:49 PM by Ryan Thornton   [ updated Nov 3, 2017, 2:38 PM ]

Early Friday morning Mesquite Fire & Rescue (MFR) units, along with assistance from other agencies, responded to two separate motor vehicle accidents (MVA), on North bound Interstate 15. At approx 2:42 am MFR was dispatched for the first MVA near NB mile post 110. The accident, which involved multiple vehicles and occupants, resulted in two patients being transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Less than an hour and a half later, at approx 4:04 am, MFR units were again dispatched for a second MVA involving two semi-trucks near the previous accident on NB I-15. This MVA also resulted in two patients, one was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, while due to a prolonged extrication, the other patient was flown to a separate hospital.
We here at Mesquite Fire & Rescue want to remind everyone how important it is to wear our seat-belts. Life can change in the blink of an eye!
