California couple arrested for trafficking Methamphetamine

Mesquite Police Officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a silver, 2004 Toyota, Corolla which was traveling southbound on Interstate 15 early Tuesday morning April 2nd.                               

Officers conducted a consensual search of the vehicle using K-9 Noro and discovered Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, Josue Tirado, 48, of Ventura, California was arrested for Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Use of a Handheld Communication Device While Driving, Suspended Registration, and No Insurance.

The passenger,   Cecilia Lopez-Guerrero, 44, of Port Hueneme, California was arrested for Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both Tirado and Lopez-Guerrero were taken to the Mesquite Detention Center for processing then later transported to Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
