On Friday, May 17th the MPD brought pedal cars, fatal vision goggles and a fatal vision mat to Virgin Valley High School so students could experience the simulated effects of drinking and driving. The MPD Roll Car Simulator and Beat the Heat cars from police, fire and Nevada Highway Patrol were also on hand.  Nevada Community Partnership Coalition manned the fatal vision portion of the event and provided a prize wheel where students could win one several prizes.  Water was supplied by the Eureka Casino and event staff support was provided by the Rotary Club.  The MPD thanks the staff at Virgin Valley High School and our partners for their support.  The pedal cars and the fatal vision materials were purchased by grant funds from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety.
