MESQUITE POLICE CAPTAIN APPOINTED TO NEVADA PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Mesquite Police Captain Scott Taylor has been appointed by Governor Sandoval to serve as a member of the newly formed Nevada Public Safety Communications Committee (NPSCC).  The by-laws of the committee declare its purpose is to: 1) Represent Nevada’s commitment to unified, interoperable, effective and economical (sic) communications technology and practice at all levels; 2) Provide expert opinions and recommendations of the State’s communications leaders to the Governor and the Nevada Commission on Homeland Security; 3) Provide a central point of focus, collaboration, and contact for communications-related initiatives throughout the State of Nevada.

Captain Scott Taylor has been a member of the Mesquite Police Department since 1996 and will serve as a representative from the Nevada Chiefs and Sherriff’s Association on the committee.
