There are kids in patrol cars, kids in SWAT vehicles; there are laughing, happy kids everywhere. It is a great day,” said Chief Troy Tanner.  “It is unbelievable what people in this community are willing to give.   The number of kids we needed to serve this year increased and the donations did too, I am proud to represent the City of Mesquite.”

“We can’t forget about the Elks’ Lodge in all of this,” said Chief Tanner.  “They are a key community partner in support of this event.  They provide the lunch for the officers and the kids after the shopping trip.”
