On Friday, February 5, Mesquite Police Detectives concluded their investigation into two Mesquite residents who were actively selling and using heroin and methamphetamines from inside of their Mesquite home.  In the morning of February 5, the Mesquite SWAT team served a high-risk search warrant at the drug dealer’s home.   During the execution of the high-risk warrant, one of the drug dealers was safely taken into custody while attempting to flee the residence through a garage.  The second drug dealer was safely taken into custody inside of the home.  Officers then conducted a search of the residence, and with the help of their drug sniffing dog, were able to locate additional items of heroin and methamphetamines.  Officers also located numerous used hypodermic needles and other items of drug paraphernalia.

Ryan Tucker, 27, of Mesquite Nevada, was arrested and charged with: Two counts of possession of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce (meth & heroin) and 8 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jessie Ruiz, 27, of Mesquite Nevada, was arrested and charged with: Two counts of possession of drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce (meth & heroin) and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additional felony drug charges are pending on both drug dealers, once the crime lab drug tests are completed and the results made available.
