Narcotics Investigation Leads to Drug Arrests, Stolen Firearm, and Meth

On Tuesday, April 26, Mesquite Police Narcotics Detectives concluded a lengthy investigation involving a local man trafficking and selling methamphetamines within the Mesquite area.  Once detectives secured a search warrant, they were able to safely take the suspect into custody.  Detectives then executed the search warrant on the suspect’s residence and vehicle.  Once inside the residence, detectives found two females who were both in possession of methamphetamines.  Both females were also safely taken into custody.  The detectives' search of the suspect and his residence yielded multiple bags of crystal meth packaged and prepared for distribution, items of drug paraphernalia, scales used for weighing and distributing, and a loaded semi-automatic handgun.  Upon further investigation of the loaded handgun, it was found to be stolen out of the Las Vegas area.  Also found on the suspect was more than $2,000 in cash. 

Nickalaus Wood, 37, of Mesquite Nevada, was arrested and charged with: Three felony counts of sales of a controlled substance (meth), two felony counts of low level trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), one felony count of trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), and one felony count of possession of a stolen firearm. 

Trina Watkins, 28, of Overton Nevada, was arrested and charged with: One felony count of trafficking a controlled substance (meth). 

Fonda Ray, 32, of Mesquite Nevada, was arrested and charged with: One felony count of trafficking a controlled substance (meth).  

All three suspects were transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
