Patrol Officers Nab Residential Burglars

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 18th, Mesquite patrol officers conducted a routine traffic stop, on a vehicle occupied by three adults. Upon investigation, officers discovered drug paraphernalia along with assorted property, which did not belong to the occupants of the vehicle. The property included; personal identifying documents, banking documents, jewelry, power tools, as well as various other personal possessions.


The officer’s thorough investigation discovered the                                          

property inside the vehicle led to a residence in Mesquite. Officers responded to the residence and discovered the house open and ransacked. Mesquite detectives responded and processed the scene at the burglarized home.


The three adults in the car, all non-residents, were identified as: Steve Casias, Noel Casias, and Audra McCullar. All three were arrested on felony charges of; burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft, obtaining personal identifying information of another, possessing credit cards without cardholders consent, and possession of hypodermic devices.      


Patrol Captain Scott Taylor commended patrol officers for their excellent police work and keen observation. Captain Taylor said, ”This is a prime example of officers fulfilling our mission statement by safeguarding lives, property, and constitutional rights, while effectively providing proactive services with professionalism, honor, and integrity.”
