Mesquite Police S.W.A.T. Officers executed search warrants on two
local residences in conjunction with arrests made by Mesquite Detectives and
Agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Friday morning April 5th.
Luis Delarosa, 28, Carlos Delarosa, 26, and Bethany Barnum, 22, of
Mesquite were arrested on Federal Drug Charges by MPD and DEA in St. George,
Utah after a several month long Federal Investigation by the DEA and Mesquite
Drug Unit for high level trafficking of Methamphetamine.
During the execution of the
search warrants, Mesquite Detectives recovered guns, narcotics, and U.S.
currency from both the Delarosa’s residence in Mesquite.
Arrested in Mesquite were Jose Camarena, 19, Mayra Baltazar, 25,
Melissa Hernandez, 22, and Silvia Gonzalez-Navarro, 48, who are currently
facing state charges and could possibly be facing federal charges at a later
A total of 778.2 grams of Methamphetamine were seized during the
investigation with an estimated street value of over $77,000.
