Two California men arrested for Auto Burglaries

Mesquite Police Officers responded to the area of 780 West Hafen lane on a report of two vehicle being broken into Friday evening March 29th.  Witnesses stated two Hispanic males in a grey Nissan, Sentra with California license plates were seen in the area just prior to the vehicles being broken into.

Early the next morning, officers observed a vehicle matching the description given by witnesses traveling west on Mesquite Boulevard and conducted a traffic stop for a routine traffic infraction.

Upon contact with the driver, officers noticed several items in the rear passenger area fitting the description of stolen items that was given by the victims.  After further investigation officers determined that the items were in fact stolen and placed both males under arrest.

Arrested were Jonathan Prado, 18, of Los Angeles, California for Auto Burglary (two counts), Grand Larceny, and Possession of Stolen Property.

Fernando Manzo Jr., 20, of Los Angeles, California for Auto Burglary (two counts), Grand Larceny, and Possession of Stolen Property.

Prado and Manzo were taken to the Mesquite Detention Center for processing and then transported to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
