Councilman George Rapson has worked on several projects; from a high end multi-component development to a small family owned business. He is currently working as a realtor with Premier Properties.
From 1997 to 2005, Councilman Rapson was the General Manager of the CasaBlanca Resort. CasaBlanca is a 470 room resort with hotel, casino, restaurants, golf facility and spa in Mesquite, Nevada. During that time, CasaBlanca had annual revenues exceeding $65 million and over 900 employees. Councilman Rapson managed the day to day operations of this property. Prior to that he worked for the international accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. in Southern California and Las Vegas and was a CPA in both states. Councilman Rapson is a former Air Traffic Controller. He worked at Anchorage International Airport, Westchester County Airport (White Plains, NY) and finally at Los Angeles International Airport Approach Control. Councilman Rapson served four years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged.
Councilman Rapson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (major accounting) from Chapman College in Orange California.
Councilman Rapson represents the City of Mesquite on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Board of Directors.
