Paper Craft day at The Virgin Valley Heritage Museum.
On Feb 1, 2014 from 10 am to noon at the Fine Arts Gallery Classroom, the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum will be having a paper crafts day. There will be three different activities that morning. The first is learning how to make paper using the pulp process, which is still used by modern manufacturer’s today. Secondly, participants will have the opportunity to learn about paper pricking, a Victorian style of decorating paper using a template to create beautiful designs. Finally, people will learn about Japanese classic origami, the art of folding paper into unique shapes. There will be a variety of origami designs for the community to try.
The event is free and open to all ages.
A stitch in time saves nine! Craft Series is an ongoing crafting initiative produced by The Virgin Valley Heritage Museum to encourage a love of history through fun traditional crafts.
