City Owned Surplus Property
SATURDAY, April 13, 2013 8:00 A.M.
Mesquite Campus, 150 No. Yucca Street (Auction location-north parking lot)

The public is invited to inspect and bid to purchase items that have been declared surplus property. A list of surplus items may be obtained at City Hall or available on the City’s website at All surplus items may be viewed on April 13, 2013 beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Among some of the surplus items for bid are: Vehicles, bicycles, and miscellaneous items.

Bidders must register and receive a bid number between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. All sales are final and no refunds will be given. All items that sell for less than $500 must be paid for at the time of the sale. All items that sell for more than $500 must have an earnest money minimum payment of $500. If the remaining balance is paid for by 10:00 a.m. on April 13, 2013 the item will be released to successful bidder. The item must be paid in full by noon, on Monday, April 15, 2013.

In the event a bidder does not pay the remaining balance by noon, on Monday April 15, 2013, the earnest money is forfeited by the bidder. The bidder submitting the next-to-highest bid shall be considered as an alternate bidder. Alternate bidders are obligated to their bid.

Payment may only be made by cash, certified check, cashier’s check or money order with specified check being made payable to the City of Mesquite.

The City of Mesquite expressly disclaims any warranties, expressed or implies, as to its merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Any and all such property is to be sold on an AS IS condition, with award to the highest bidder.

The City reserves the right to add or delete any items from the auction list.
