Come learn the game that is taking America by storm – Pickleball! It is the fastest growing sport in the country with courts popping up all over the place. People of all ages are able to learn quickly and that is the beauty of the game. It is affordable and can be enjoyed by people of all skill levels and physical abilities.
The Mesquite Recreation Center will be offering 2 hour clinic. These clinics will be taught by Tim Finger, 5 X National Champion and coach. Tim a former tennis pro for 40 years has turned his attention to Pickleball. His goal is to spread the love and the knowledge of the game to all ages.
Because of his efforts schools all over Southern Utah have added it to their curriculum. He offers lessons to people of all ages. A student named Nancy stated, “It’s the best form of exercise I’ve found without realizing how much I’m getting, it’s just so much fun. I don’t want to quit!”
Be a part of this easy to learn game. It’s a great family sport for all ages. We will offer clinics for ages 8 – 12, 13 – 17, adults 18 and above. There will be a two day clinic August 13 & 14 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mesquite Recreation Center (West Gymnasium). The recreation Center will have limited paddles and balls but you can bring your own paddle if you have them.
Wear comfortable clothing; gym shoes (non-marking soles) bring a sweat towel, and a bottle of water. Open spots may be available on a “drop in basis only” there are fees included, please inquire on these with the Recreation Center facility.
