On Saturday, October 1 from 10:30 to 2, the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum will offer free pony wagon rides. The rides will begin behind the Museum.
“We would like to thank local resident, Sam Reber, for making these rides possible,” said Museum Coordinator Elspeth Kuta. “He is always so generous with his time, talents and knowledge about the local area.”
Sam Reber comes from a long line of Mesquite residents. He has worked with horses most of his life—working teams, going on wagon treks and putting teams in local parades. He has owned Clydesdales, Belgians, English Shires and Quarter Horses. Most recently, Sam has raised miniature ponies. In fact, Sam will use his miniature ponies “Blackie” and “Buckie” to pull the wagon at this activity.
