Mesquite Days Sock Hop 2014

Get out your poodle skirts, dusted off the old 45’s and cruise over to the Mesquite Recreation Center for a fun-filled Friday night Sock Hop May 2, 2014. 

The Department of Athletics and Leisure Services-Senior Division is hosting a community Sock Hop in celebration of the 30th Annual Mesquite Days. The Sock Hop will be held at the Mesquite Recreation Center gymnasium (100 W. Old Mill Road) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 This event will bring back fond memories for some and introduce a fantastic genre of fun and toe-tapping music for people of all ages. From classic rock to R&B and Doo- Wop, the Sock Hop will offer up a variety of music and entertainment guaranteed to please everyone. This event will prove to be a fun experience for singles, couples and families alike.  There will be a designated area where children will be able to play and have fun.  The Sock Hop is a free event that your whole family will enjoy! 

Hotdogs, cheeseburgers, root beer floats, french fries, banana splits, sodas and more will be available for purchase.
