Mesquite NV - The Mesquite Police Department would like to invite
citizens and businesses to participate in recognizing the law enforcement officers who serve and protect us, while remembering those who have been killed in the line of duty through Project Blue Light.

Project Blue Light began in 1988 when the surviving mother-in-law of a police officer who was killed in the line of duty wrote a letter to Concerns of Police Survivors stating that she would be honoring her late son-in-law, Officer Danny Gleason, by placing a blue light in her window.  The concept is a simple one.  Display a single blue light in a window (Candlestick replicas serve this purpose well), or place a blue bulb in a light fixture on the home’s exterior.

Blue lights will shine from December 1st through the 31st. For more information on Project Blue Light contact Lori Todd at the Mesquite Police Department 702-346-5262 ext. 6150. More information can also be found at the following links.
