On Saturday, Nov 5. from 1 to 2 p.m., the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum has invited the Mesquite Toes to demonstrate their awesome talent. The performance will be outdoors. So, attendees are welcome to bring a cushion or a blanket to sit on. There is no charge for the show and all ages are welcome.

Elspeth Kuta, Museum Coordinator said, “Mesquite has such wonderful talent and I am so grateful that they have been so generous in being willing to donate their time to provide a demonstration for us.”

“The Toes", as we are affectionately known, are a group of very energized ladies who love to dance. Started in 2003 with one team of dancers, the group has now grown to six teams with members whose average age is 70. The Mesquite-Toes Tap Team is a non-profit organization, that promotes Mesquite, Nevada as an active retirement community. Former Mayor Bill Nicholes proclaimed them to be the official "Goodwill Ambassadors of the Magic of Mesquite."

You can see the Toes at many events throughout Mesquite. Be sure and mark your calendar for their upcoming Christmas Show, which benefits the Virgin Valley Food Bank. The first show is on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 9, there will be two shows. The first at 1 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. All shows will be at the Mesquite Community Theatre - 150 N. Yucca Street.
