SSUSA Spring World Championships

MESQUITE, NV (March 14, 2013)—As one of the larger softball tournaments in the country, the Senior Softball-USA Spring World Championships will be held next week (March 19-24) in Mesquite.


The Men’s 65, 70, 75 and 80-year old divisions play in the first session, which runs from Tuesday-Thursday, March 19-21.


Men’s 50, 55, 60-year olds play in the second session Friday-Sunday, March 22-24.


The 85-team tournament, representing eight states and as far away as Minnesota, will be played at Pioneer Park, Hunter Sports Park and Old Mill Park. Divisional winners qualify to advance to the Tournament of Champions in Florida.

"The Spring Worlds in Mesquite is really the kick-off to national senior softball play throughout the West, marking the first large Regional Championships of the year for senior softball players," said Terry Hennessy, CEO of Senior Softball-USA.  "The Spring Worlds attracts some of the best players and senior teams in the country ranging in age from 50 to 75 -- providing excellent competition and fascinating games to watch!"
