Mayor Holecheck was born in Phoenix, Arizona but spent her early years in Dallas, Texas. Her family later relocated to Chicago and Mayor Holecheck graduated from Good Counsel High School.
After graduation from high school, Mayor Holecheck had the opportunity to work in the hotel industry for over 5 years. In 1973 she returned to Dallas, Texas and changed career paths. She joined the law firm of Rain, Harrell, Emery, Young & Doke and was with the Rain Harrell firm for several years before joining the law firm of Jenkins & Gilchrist. It was while employed with Jankins & Gilchrist that Mayor Holecheck had the opportunity to enter a newly-created paralegal program being sponsored at El Centro Community College.
In approximately 1977, Mayor Holecheck moved to San Francisco and joined the law firm of Littler Mendelson. She remained with Littler Mendelson for over nine years acting as the Word Processing and Systems Manager for the firm. In 1987 she was asked to join a partner departing the Littler firm to establish and become the Legal Administrator for the San Francisco office of a New York law firm, Dretzin, Kauff, McClain & McGuire. Mayor Holecheck met her husband in 1989 and after their marriage and her husband's retirement, they decided to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
After moving to Las Vegas, Mayor Holecheck returned to the paralegal profession and has had the opportunity to be employed by such recognized law firms as Rawlings, Olson, Cannon, Gormley & Desruisseaux, Little Mendelson, (previously Hicks & Walt in Nevada), Thorndal, Armstrong, Delk, Balkenbush & Eisinger and Beckley Singleton.
Mayor Holecheck is a past member of the Clark County Organization of Legal Assistants. Until most recently, she was a current member and past Director of the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Nevada. Before her recent election, she was the liaison member of the State Bar of Nevada's Consumer Protection Committee (governing the unauthorized practice of law). Mayor Holecheck is a current member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations and continues to maintain the Registered Paralegal credential she achieved in 1998. She has been a seminar presenter four times in the past seven years covering topics such as Federal and State Discovery Issues, Witness Preparation and Advanced Legal Writing.
Mayor Holecheck's legal experience include litigation in such fields as transactional law, medical malpractice, construction defect, insurance defense and labor and employment law.
