Anne Martin Memorial Plaque Unveiling - Women's History and Cultural Center

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025 the Women's History and Cultural Center had an unveiling of the Anne Martin Memorial Plaque ceremony. Opening with the Veterans Honor Guard, next Mayor Jesse Whipple gave a wonderful welcome speech, and guest speaker Dr. Deana Beachley, Professor of History and Women's Studies at the College of Southern Nevada gave a history presentation. Memorial unveiling was done by Mayor Jesse Whipple and Randy Laub, the Director of Leisure Services.
