The route stops in large cities, small towns, and national parks along the way, including: Zion National Park, UT; Yosemite National Park, CA; South Lake Tahoe, CA; San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Vancouver, BC; Prince George, BC; and Whitehorse, YT. The Sierra route was one of the two original routes that were created when Texas 4000 was founded in 2004.
