Instructions to participate in person and virtual
The Technical Review Meetings and the City Council Meetings have resumed and will be held as scheduled, but with some important changes to remain compliant with both public meeting laws and social distancing guidelines. Public meetings held in Council Chambers have been broadcast live for several years on the city’s website at mesquitenv.gov/meetings-agendas. Due to recent changes the City wants to be sure everyone has the information needed to participate virtually in the public meetings.
To watch or listen live, navigate to the Meetings & Agendas page and locate the “Upcoming Events” section that lists the upcoming meetings. Once the meeting has started, the date of the meeting will change to a link that says “In-Progress”. Clicking that link will open the live video of the meeting.
The live stream can also be viewed on the City’s YouTube page,https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrnt9tmG8OhU-RKzcdP2pww
For detailed instructions on how to make a comment to be read by the City Clerk during the Public Comment portions of the meeting, please navigate to the City Clerk’s page at mesquitenv.gov/departments/city-clerk. City Clerk Tracy Beck has also included detailed instructions on how to watch the live stream in the final pages of the meeting agenda document. This document can also be found on the Meetings & Agendas page on the website.
We are allowing citizens to come to the meetings and make a public comment IN PERSON, but with strict guidelines. Please see the Meetings and Agendas page and click on the particular day's agenda, where detailed instructions will be found.
