City of Mesquite Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement exists to align with municipal codes so that all Mesquite residents can enjoy a cleaner, safer, and better place to live. Areas of concentration include improvement of neighborhoods, the integrity of property value, compliance with zoning, enforcement of business licenses and signs.

Common Code Violations

  • Overgrown weeds, trash, inoperable vehicles | MCC 4-2-5 (A)
  • Parking vehicles on front yard landscaping | MCC 9-7F-7
  • RVs and utility trailers parked on any city street | MCC 9-8-5(M)
  • Open storage on residential and commercial properties | MCC 9-7F-9 & 9-7N-9
  • Yard sale signs in the medians, on public property, and right-of-way | MCC 9-10-6
  • Graffiti | MCC 5-1-13(N)(2)(a)
  • Encroachment | MCC 3-1-1(A)
